Frequently Asked Questions
-
Intempo Psychiatry is an out-of-network practice, which means we do not bill insurance directly. Many of our patients are still able to receive partial reimbursement, and we are happy to provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company.
Because plans vary widely, we encourage you to contact your insurer in advance to better understand your out-of-network benefits.
-
Fees vary based on the type and length of appointment. We review costs clearly during the initial consultation so there are no surprises. Our goal is transparency – so you always understand what you’re investing in.
For more information, please access our fee schedule.
-
After each visit, we can provide a superbill – a detailed receipt showing the services provided. You submit this directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Because every plan handles reimbursement differently, it’s helpful to ask your insurer in advance about their process and coverage rates. Not all services are reimbursable, and understanding your benefits ahead of time can make planning easier.
-
You can request a complimentary consultation by completing our consultation request form. Once submitted, you’ll be able to choose a time that works for you.
-
We take a comprehensive, collaborative approach. Treatment may include medication management, psychotherapy, and coordination with other providers when appropriate.
Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, we work toward long-term wellbeing by understanding your history, strengths, and goals – and building a plan tailored to you.
-
Intempo Psychiatry treats the full spectrum of adult psychiatric conditions, ranging from common concerns like anxiety and depression to more complex mood, psychosis-spectrum, trauma-related, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
If you’re unsure whether your concern fits, we’re happy to talk it through during your consultation.

These visits are more comprehensive than a standard intake. We review relevant records and coordinate with your current provider. The evaluation lasts up to 120 minutes and concludes with written recommendations for you and your care team.
-
Treatment length varies. Some individuals prefer shorter-term support, while others benefit from ongoing collaboration over time.

Intempo Psychiatry does not currently provide psychedelic treatment, given the legal status of these medications in Illinois.
However, we participate in clinical research exploring their potential role in mental health care. If you’re interested in learning whether a clinical trial may be appropriate, please contact us – we’re happy to discuss eligibility and next steps.
